POSITION DESCRIPTION
Electronic Security Technicians at Fedora Intertech travel for service and installation projects. This position is 100% travel and you are home on weekends.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Install and/or service security devices including to but not limited to IP surveillance cameras, burglar alarm systems, card readers, door strikes, and peripherals. Work on and from ladders, run low voltage wiring, perform moves/adds/changes of low voltage systems.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- A thorough knowledge and understanding of electronic access control, CCTV, IP video, and surveillance systems
- Independently troubleshoot, install and service CCTV and Access Control Systems
- Pull wire and terminate devices
- Use hand and power tools
- Knowledge of structured cabling methods
- Ability to read blueprints
- Maintain professional appearance and demeanor
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 years experience performing similar duties in the security and electrical/low voltage wiring industries such as CCTV, Access Control, Low Voltage Wiring.
- Vocational/Technical Degree in electrical, security or computer systems preferred
- Conduit experience helpful
- Proficiency with computer hardware components and software packages a plus
- Excellent customer service, communication and troubleshooting skills
- Current/Valid Driver’s License and safe driving skills
- Clear criminal background and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
